After posting a couple of manuscripts with RoseDog, they were quickly snapped up by e-publishers and that gave me a start, after being stymied for years and years. I now have a number of published books with more on the way. I produce a free monthly newsletter, "Laughing All The Way", at my Author's Den site and signed a four book contract last year with Wordbeams.com. I also have a movie producer looking at one of my short stories. Lighthouse Publishing is putting my work in trade paperback editions. In short, while I had a few disappointments along the way, almost everything since posting with RoseDog has been positive. I can now look forward to quarterly royalty checks instead of rejection slips.

Darrell is a lazy, inefficient and ten-thumbed farmer. Betty is a hard-working, efficient and competent farmer’s wife. Darrell loves his wife dearly, but it’s a wonder she has hung in there with him, considering all the misadventures, escapades and hair-brained schemes Darrell gets himself and his wife into. His one redeeming feature is that he likes to write about them, in a style all his own.
Here you have Darrell’s first collection of stories, ranging from ravenous Bed & Breakfast guests who eat them out of house and home to Runaway mowers and tillers; then there’s the attack of the killer kittens, couch testing, mattress madness, the three legged iron scorpion, the lost Viagra pill, and many, many more. If you can get through this book without laughing until your ribs are sore, you are a rare exception and haven’t got a funny bone in your body.
